Today the latest update for Google Chrome released to the general public with a set of new features that bring ease of access alongside new security measures to keep you and your family safe. It's now possible for you to access these features by updating your Chrome (most versions are set to auto-update)
Share passwords on your phone

You and your Google Family can now share passwords securely between devices. Businesses have been paying for password vaults for the last 5-10 years, but not Google has given this to you and your family for free.
To activate this feature do the following; iOS
Tap the Chrome menu > Password Manager .
Select the password you want to share, then tap Share .
Select family members to share your passwords with.
Android
Tap Chrome menu > Settings > Password Manager.
Under Search passwords, select the password you want to share, then tap Share .
Select family members to share your passwords with.
Scan the QR Code to get Chrome on your phone.
Check out more quickly and securely with autofill

It isn't advised to save your payment details in chrome but lets face it, you're going to. Google has implemented your devices biometric authentication method (fingerprint, face scan or your screen lock PIN) to unlock your saved payment details.
Go to Settings > Autofill and passwords > Payment methods.
Select Manually verify every time you pay using autofill to use your biometrics the next time you checkout.
Search anything you see on any page with Google Lens

Google lens with Chrome makes it easier to search using parts of an image, video or even a livestream. Now this feature isn't entirely new for Pixel users however, it sure is for Chrome and iOS/Android peeps. This feature works a ton better than the reverse image search within Google Images.
To do this do the following;
Open the Chrome menu.
Select Search with Google Lens .
Select anything on the page by clicking and dragging anywhere on the page.
Refine the answers by typing in the search box in the side panel.
For quicker access, click Pin in the side panel to add the icon to your toolbar.
Chat with Google's AI (Gemini) from the address bar.

Google's AI has flown under the radar for most. With other tools like ChatGPT and DeepSeek being the mainstream AI's, Google's is now more readily available. You can quickly get help from Gemini with creative and complex tasks, like planning a trip or learning more about a new topic with this new shortcut in Chrome.
Type “@” in the address bar and select Chat with Gemini.
Write your prompt.
